For over 30 years, Mura Kosker has advocated for human rights
and the safety and wellbeing of Torres Strait families.
We help 18 Indigenous communities dispersed across the remote islands of the Torres Strait
With Outreach Workers based in our remote communities, we take proactive & preventative measures to help families. We are also readily available to assist in crisis situations. We maintain cultural integrity through being community driven and solutions focussed.
We are the change-makers in our communities
As a leading non-profit ogranisation, our programs have always been premised on respecting
human rights, self-determination, cultural respect and safety. We exist to reverse the levels
of disadvantage for women, children and their families living in the Torres Strait region, by
empowering families and strengthening communities.
