About our services
Mura Kosker Sorority is funded to provide Family Wellbeing support, counselling and programs to the Torres Strait region.
Our services are culturally appropriate and are provided in partnership with the region’s governing bodies, including the Torres Strait Islanders Regional Council, the Torres Shire Council and the Torres Strait Regional Authority.
As a not-for-profit Indigenous organisation, we help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families living within the communities of the Torres Strait (Zenadth Kes).

Am I eligible for services?
To be eligible for Mura Kosker Sorority’s services and support, you must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander living within the Torres Strait Region. We accept self-referrals and referrals from partners and other service providers.
How do I access services?
If you’re eligible to access Mura Kosker’s services, please contact our main office at 99 Douglas Street, Thursday Island. You can visit us in person, call us on 07 4069 1663 or email info@murakosker.org.au
When you contact us, our friendly administration team will take your details and arrange a confidential telephone or in person meeting with our Intake Officers. This meeting will help identify the right program and support officer for you.
