About our Child & Family Support Program

Children between the ages of 0-8 are in early development. During these years, it’s crucial that they are raised in environments that enhance their education and build self-awareness. It’s also important that children are surrounded with love and nurture.

Unfortunately, some families may find themselves in vulnerable or difficult situations where there are issues with home safety, lack of family support, emotional stress, financial stress and even loneliness and isolation.

Our Child and Family Support Program works with vulnerable families to ensure that these difficult situations are prevented using early intervention strategies.

We help families that live in the Torres Strait region. Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of the children. However, we can offer guidance and referrals to services for parents and carers as well.
